Art
“I think everything in life is art. What you do. How you dress. The way you love someone, and how you talk. Your smile and your personality. What you believe in, and all your dreams. The way you drink your tea. How you decorate your home. Or party. Your grocery list. The food you make. How your writing looks. And the way you feel. Life is art.”― Helena Bonham Carter
If you look closely there are three grapes hanging from these bars. The grapes are from our grape vine. I ate one of the grapes and took this photo. Remembering this day, the taste of the sweet grapes. I would use this broken umbrella when it was available. How can you create a little more today, with what you wear, how you speak and walk? My most cherished things are a ring from my grandmother to protect me, a rug hand woven 50 years ago by my neighbor's grandmother in Mostar, a salad bowl from a little town in Andalusia that I got while I visited my friend and her parents and a scarf from India from a friend that I met at an ashram in Los Angeles. If we take the time to give everything value we will treat ourselves, each other and the earth with more kindness. It is difficult to be into fast fashion, fast food and fast dating if you see everything as art instead on disposable. If you notice the time and energy that it takes to manifest an idea, a thing, a human, food, there is always a gestation period that tests our need for instant gratification.
